AirCrack is a nice tool that is used for 802.11a/b/g WEP and WPA password cracking. It tries to gather encrypted packets and once enough packets are gathered, it recover wireless key with its best known password cracking algorithm. It implements FMS attack along with KoreK attacks and all-new PTW attack to make pasword cracking password.
Over all, we can say that AirCrack is a set of wireless network auditing tools.
It works with any wireless network inteface controller whose driver supports raw monitoring mode.
It is available as Live CD and vmware version. You can also download Windows executable version.
