L0phtCrack is a nice password cracking tool that attempts to crack Windows password from hashes. It try to get hashes from  from stand-alone Windows workstations, networked servers, primary domain controllers, or Active Directory. It tries Bruteforce, Dictionary and sniffing to crack password.
